Peral Project (2021-2022)

 

Throughout the second year, my colleague César Abilleira Carballal and I were offered the opportunity to take a Santander bank program called Explorer. The idea of ​​the program was to create a company with all its steps, from the analysis of the client to the business and financial model.

This opportunity had a great meaning for me since my intention since I was about 11 years old was to create my own company and be able to research and develop the technology that I wanted. It filled me with enthusiasm so it didn't take me a second to make the decision to lead this new possible project.

The same afternoon of the day that the entrepreneurship program was presented to us, we wrote our application, which spoke of some artificial intelligence processes that could help the human being and in a certain way the machines (the common reader of this blog will have deduced by previous publications that our product would include the Eulerian Magnification). However, we had not defined the final product at all, much less the company.

Throughout the 12 weeks that the project lasted, we ended up directing all our efforts to use the knowledge and technology that we had to create a virtual assistant. This assistant is able to help the elderly like no other and not only that, but thanks to the technology inside it, it offers a great company.

It is important to note that during the project, we tried to meet as many of the SDGs as possible. In this way, we focus our project on the help and assistance of people and companies together with a responsible and respectful use of the environment.

We consider that it is not yet convenient to reveal all its functionalities as it is still under development and we hope to achieve more results throughout this year. Simply to say that we hope it will become the new paradigm of inter-device communication along with a great contribution to people's health.

After the summer of 2021, we considered the idea of ​​adding a new product capable of analyzing food traceability, Latte. With this new product within the company, we decided to present ourselves to the seventh edition of the Idea Lugo award.
We generated our business plan with great enthusiasm and after long hours of dedication, the work paid off.

A few months have passed since the previous news, and incredible things have continued to happen to Peral Project in 2022 spring.

- We have won the first prize for Explorer, which means a trip to the innovation academy in Porto for a week, where we will be able to make a presentation to a large audience. We also got a second place in the Maker Faire of Galicia, obtaining 500 euros that allowed us to register our brand: NEWSPAPER

- We have also achieved a third place in the Elevator Pitch LocalmenteLucense challenge, which meant a total of 500 euros:

During all this time, in addition to the virtual assistant that we have focused on the care of the elderly, called smartPAL, we have defined Peral Project as a B2B service provider specialized in artificial vision and natural language processing, along with other machine learning techniques.

Probably the reader has realized that the team has grown and... Indeed, we are already 7! We mix a large number of disciplines and we can greatly help companies thanks to artificial intelligence.
